| Tiny Shell Tree |
Hope you all had a happy Christmas day filled with love of family, good friends, good food and wine.
This year I chose a white Christmas tree and trimmed it with vintage balls in aqua, cream, and bronze with a touch of red. The tiny shell tree was a gift from a dear friend in Tasmania, we have been friends since school - thats a long, long time. She was here a couple of years ago and we bought each other this little tree to remember our friendship at Christmas, don't know if she popped hers out but I sure did. The most important part of Christmas celebration is always breakfast for us. I always bake a whole ham and squeeze fresh orange juice as did my Mum and my Grandmother and prob hers before that. We set a formal table with silverware and crystal I light some special candles for my Nan & Pop and now for my Mum & Dad. This year I added some scrambled eggs and bacon to the menu. I really liked my simple tape with vintage balls attatched strung from a tree outdoors at lunch. I poached a turkey and a chicken in white wine, lemon and thyme plus a tray of roasted veggies plus my much loved and essential gravy.
